This is a digital file
A Celtic Knotwork dragonfly for counted cross stitch or needlepoint. Includes patterns for alternate Tail, slightly longer and more tapered than the one in the display diagram, and a mini tutorial for shaded cross stitch.
The stitched area of Dragonfly I is 241 stitches wide by 148 stitches high, including antennae. Using the Alternate Tail pattern will give 157 stitches high.
Stitches needed if working in Counted Cross Stitch: regular cross stitch; backstitch or double-running stitch for outlines and antennae.
The pattern prints on 4 sheets of 8-1/2x11" (or size A4) paper; trim or fold the Wing and Tail pages and tape or paste to the Body page on the indicated lines. Patterns are hand-drafted and transferred to a computer program for neatness.
The designs are shown both with and without a pale-gray background grid to indicate each individual stitch, and I include marked, color-cued basting lines for aid in counting stitches.
