I designed this teddy bear pattern for a friend feeling a little nostalgic. Matching blue and yellow teddy bears was a memory he and his twin brother shared as children that and wanted to gift to his twin nephews. 12'' tall standing, this teddy bear is the perfect size to hug, love, and bring with you everywhere you go.
Written in English American crochet terms.
To make this teddy bear, you will need to know the following crochet techniques: -crochet in the round -magic ring -single crochet (sc) -increase (inc) -decrease (dec)
Materials needed: -3.5mm crochet hook -12mm safety eyes (optional, eyes can also be embroidered) -medium weight acrylic yarn (I use red heart soft touch) -polyester stuffing
Notes: -It is best to crochet the body LAST as the arms and legs are crocheted into the construction of the body. I have created the toy this way to avoid sewing. -Work in continuous rounds, do not join or turn. -Crochet through both front and back loops at all times unless stated otherwise.
Great pattern...I love the way the limbs are crocheted into the body rather than sewn in later!! Thanks for a great pattern :)

Love this bear pattern! I am currently in the process of making my first one and he looks fantastic! My favorite part is that the ears, arms and legs are crocheted into the head/body rather than attached afterwards. Very easy to follow pattern!

Choking Hazard Warning and Release of Liability:
My creations are intended to be display pieces, not the typical play toy. They are all hand-sewn and may contain small parts (like buttons, plastic eyes, etc.), which may be a choking hazard to young/small children. These creations are not meant for children under the age of 10. Please be very mindful of this warning if you are planning to purchase a handmade creation for a child. If so desired, Custom Orders can be baby-proofed as much as possible (eyes, buttons, etc. can be embroidered on instead of using detachable pieces), but the choking hazard is still possible. I cannot be held liable for any injury or other trauma that may occur after purchase of my product. By purchasing my product(s), you acknowledge that you are aware of the dangers and agree to release me of any liability associated with my product(s).
All creations and patterns are designed by me, Lisa Beauchemin. You are welcome to hand-make items from my patterns for non-commercial AND commercial use! :) I am more than happy to grant you the permission to sell your finished amigurumi creations on e-commerce sites for handmade items (such as Etsy.com, Zibbet.com, Artfire.com, etc.), at crafts fairs, to friends and family, and/or at local market/crafts stalls. After all, you put a lot of time and effort into crocheting, and I love supporting the handmade community.
However, I respectfully request that you DO NOT attempt to pass off my patterns and/or amigurumi designs as your own original design -- please clearly give credit to Lisa Beauchemin in product descriptions, and provide a link to my Etsy shop: www.auroragurumi.etsy.com. Also, permissions for commercial use DO NOT include mass production, factory manufacturing, mass selling, or reproduction of any part of my patterns anywhere. Thank you very much for your understanding, and happy crocheting! :)
