About Mezuzah
A mezuzah is a sacred parchment inscribed by hand with two portions of Torah. It is stored in a protective case and hung on the doorposts of Jewish homes.
In addition to the role as a declaration and reminder of our faith, mezuzah is also a symbol of God's watchful care. The name of God, Sha-dai, which appears on reverse side of the parchment, is an acronym for the Hebrew words which mean Guardian of the doorways of Israel (Shomer Dlatot Israel).
On the Klaf ( the parchment inside the mezuzah) written Shema Israel Prayer - Hear O Israel: God is our God; God is one.
The Klaf considered kosher only if it was hand written on a special parchment by special person - The Sofar
About Chai

This symbol is the combination of two Hebrew letters Het and Yod which build Hebrew word Chai (living). One theory says that this symbol refers to the Living G-d. Another says that it reflects Judaism's focus on the importance of life. The consept of the life itself , which this amulet symbolizes is very important in Jewish culture. As an example typical Jewish toast is l'chayim (to life)
