These women's pants are awesome. They are stylish, comfortable, versatile, and best of all easy! Whip up a pair today. They feature a contoured yoga waistband, and fitted in the upper thighs opening to a wide leg.
You will need 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 yards of fabric. Use soft lightweight woven trouser fabrics, linen fabrics, stretch woven fabrics, stretch twill, or a medium weight knit, Ponte knit, or double knit. You will want a small piece of cotton Lycra blend or Lycra for the yoga waistband. Make sure you pre-wash your fabric so it won’t shrink after you make the pants.
Hip sizes 34" up to 52" are included. Measure your hips at approximately 7” down from your belly button. This is your hip measurement in the chart. If you are making the pants in knit fabrics, choose the size that matches your measurement, if you are making the pants with woven fabrics size up one size. For example, if you measure your hips at 42” and are using Ponte knit, make the 42. If you measure 42” and are using a non-stretch woven fabric like linen, make the size labeled 44. You may want to stay with the 42 waistband depending on your proportions.
You will need regular thread and flat clear elastic is optional. Nothing else needed unless you want to get creative and add your own embellishments.
