English Leicester’s are a longwool, rare breed sheep. English Leicester wool has a particularly high lustre, high yield and with a well defined crimp. This wool is ideally suited to spinners, weavers and for felting. It is soft handling and has excellent dye acceptance. Wool may be used for outer garment knitting, crochet, wall hangings and rugs. Finer wool may be used for lace knitting and dolls wigs.
