The Cascade Quilt is a fun twist on traditional cross quilt designs. Instead of square assembly as in traditional cross quilts the Cascade Quilt top is assembled in rows. The crosses cascade in an appealing pattern down the quilt to show off your beautiful fabrics! Easy to follow instructions and great project for a beginner!
My inspiration for the Cascade Quilt started last summer. I had 10 fat quarters that I wanted to make into a quilt but the end quilt had to be big enough to sleep with and have VERY little waste. After making several quilts from my pattern I decided to put my instructions "down on paper".
Specifics: Finished quilt size is approximately 56” x 66.5” Included full colored diagram to assist with fabric placement (see last picture
Fabric Requirements for quilt: 10 assorted Fat Quarters 1.5 yards of background fabric (If you want some wiggle room I highly suggest 1.75 yards) ½ yard for binding* (please see NOTE on page 4) 4 yards for backing
