This is an 15 bar slab style wooden soap mold, with miter cuts for easy cutting. This mold makes 15 bars of 5-7oz soap depending on how deep you pour.
A typical bar measures 3 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide by 1 inch thick. At 1 inch thick a bar will weigh about 5 oz. Your pour capacity for soap depth is up to 2 inches.
The mold is handmade of durable Southern Pine and comes with a knife and a handy lid. For cold process soap the lid helps reach a full, even gel phase (if you do not want a gel phase do not use the lid). The lid fits inside the mold and will need to be lined in the same manner as the mold. You may order a larger lid that sits on top of the mold during checkout.
The knife fits easily into the pre-cut slots and makes cutting neat clean straight lines a breeze. No more struggling to cut soap! The miter cuts on the mold do not affect heat loss during gel phase. This mold is available without a knife in a separate listing.
A basic cold process recipe and instructions are included. Compare to similar molds costing much more and I think you’ll be delighted with this easy to use and affordable design.
This mold is safe for Cold Process Oven Process (CPOP) to 200 degrees F. This mold is also suitable for Hot Process soap and Melt and Pour.
**Due to the handmade nature of this item please allow for color variances and possible slight imperfections in the wood. Such imperfections do not effect the functionality of this item. ***Knife color/style may vary.
I use his loaf molds and thought I would try this mold. The quality is beyond compare.

Excellent craftsmanship! I have used it twice for a column pour and for a pour that I used to create a design. It is easy to line the mold with freezer paper, easy to remove and then I placed the solid piece of soap back into the mold to cut it into rectangles with the supplied knife. Everything worked well and I am very happy with this purchase. Also included was a CP recipe created by his niece which I used and it produced a very good soap. She also included places to buy supplies.
