Item details

Morrisonite is one of the hardest jasper and is a true porcelain jasper which is why they polish so beautifully. It is rich with wild and colorful designs and can command the highest of prices for of any of the available jasper. It is interesting to note, jasper is basically petrified mud and was formed by mud dripping into gas pockets that had formed in molten lava. It became super-heated and then solidified. One cannot help but love the beauty and great variety found in this stone.

Morrisonite focal bead measures approximately 58mm x 29mm x 5.15mm
2mm hole drilled front to back
Glass polish on all sides
Cord included upon request
Please note healed fractures on this natural untreated stone

You will not believe the polish on this bead and it is so smooth. Wild colors and an exaggerated pattern are all part of the make up of this intense focal bead. An aqua blue green is surrounded with yellows and pinks. There are even some spots of red to add to the flavor. That is what I love about is wild:) Morrisonite Jasper, short for Morrison Ranch Jasper is one of the finest jasper in the world. It is found in southeastern Oregon in a very remote area along the Owyhee River.
The fifth picture shows how the stone will be mailed. Besides the plastic bag and cotton in this gift box made from recycled materials, the focal bead is wrapped in recycled cushioned paper and placed in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box to be mailed to and sound:)

We are not professional photographers but, make every effort to accurately represent each item. As hard as we try, colors of the stones may vary due to differences in computer monitors.

Please realize it is common for large natural untreated stones to have healed fractures or pits. Typically, we feel this simply adds to the organic nature of a natural stone. Occasionally, there will be a stone with fractures or pits that are more pronounced and do not meet our standards for top quality. These stones are still unique and salable and are made available as 2nd Drawer items at a reduced price.
