These two large buttons are handmade in a speckled brown stoneware clay that I cut into my favorite bird shape. They are glazed in a yummy shino glaze which is glossy and feels very nice to touch. It is a shiny rustic brown color with some creamy colored modulations where the glaze is a little thicker and the speckles from the clay come through adding to the rustic feel.

They are about 2 inches wide and about 3/4 inch tall. They are unglazed on the back but smooth. I have sewn them onto the card with embroidery floss and a tapestry needle so the holes will accommodate a larger needle.

These buttons can be the perfect finishing touch to your own knitted or crocheted project. They might even be a focal point on your mixed-media craft project or embellished wall quilt, or just the right closure for a handmade book or journal.

Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln.

I ship all my regular items via USPS Priority or Parcel Post and my buttons and magnets via USPS First Class. Most of my larger ceramic items and orders will be shipped Parcel as the boxes are large and the cost for priority mail is prohibitive. However, sometimes on orders with several items, the combined shipping charges are sufficient to ship the order priority. Larger ceramic orders going to the West Coast will usually go parcel. Tracking and delivery confirmation is provided through USPS.

Because I have to list my shipping charges before I know where the item will be shipped to, I tend to charge as if they were going to the West Coast (I'm in Florida). If the actual shipping costs are considerably lower, then I will refund the difference back to you through your payment method. I do not make extra money off shipping charges. I have considerable expenses (boxes, packing peanuts, bubble wrap) that are associated with shipping pottery which are covered by the charged shipping costs within each listing. There are usually savings involved with combined shipping costs when you purchase more than one listing, and those are easily refunded after the order is packaged up, weighed, and the shipping label is processed.

If I receive an order early enough in the day I can sometimes send it out the same day. Generally, I will ship items the next business day. You will receive email confirmation of your shipment with a tracking code.

International customers are responsible for all fees associated with shipping to their respective countries. Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; I have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond my original delivery estimates. All international orders will have full value declared on customs forms - no exceptions.

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
If items are defective or damaged I will refund in full. If Items are broken in shipment I will refund or replace the order in full.

If a return needs to be made (buyer's remorse, or customer purchased wrong item or size) I will refund the cost of the items, minus shipping. Return shipping for wrong size orders are the responsibility of the buyer.
