An original antique T-Shirt transfer of a DRUM MAJORETTE from the 1940's.
T-Shirt transfers had to start somewhere.
This is one of the original FIRST T-Shirt transfers from the '40’s, ripe for home decor, a museum or tattoo show room.
I was born in 1941. I never saw these, but I will bet you this is from old circus midway or State Fair, item either a prize, or from a booth selling iron-ons.
I got this, with others, in New Orleans, in a paper ephemera shop I visited several times on Magazine Street, which since Katrina, I doubt is still there.
They still transfer, but I wouldn’t depend on it. They all have holes, from having been stapled to a card. Some are slight, some a little more obvious.
They are ripe for framing, that's for sure. Be advised: attempting to iron this onto a t-shirt could destroy both. I made one once, and it worked great, but these are very old and fragile, and really should be framed.
