Items that are immediately available for purchase must be paid for at that time; however, if you contact me I am willing to hold an item for up to a week.
I divide custom orders into two categories, made to order and personalized. Made to order items are items that I begin work on when you make your order. They look like the items pictured with no changes that would make it personalized, such as adding a name, initials, a date, a theme or an unusual color palette. Personalize items make it difficult to sell to another customer should you change your mind after I'm done the work resulting in a loss of time and money for my business. Custom orders do not need to be paid for immediately; however, paid for items get priority of work. This means that if I have a custom order that I'm working on that has not been paid for, I will delay work on that item in favor of any order I receive along with payment. Therefore, projected shipping times are calculated from the date of payment. I find this the most fair way handle situations where I have multiple orders. First paid get's priority of work in every circumstance.
For made to order items that are not personalized, the customer may delay payment until notification that the item is complete. If payment is not received by the projected shipping date the item will be placed for sale in the shop for anyone to purchase, unless, the customer contacts me to request an extended hold. Please do not assume I've received your request. I will reply to every request so that you have confirmation. Any delay in payment may result in delayed shipment. Please read shipping policy.
For personalized items, the payment can be delayed only up until the point where the item becomes personalized. For example, if I am making a quilt with a name on it for you, I will notify you before I sew on the name. You can expect to receive photos of my progress up to that point, so you have the option to cancel at that time. If you choose for me to proceed, payment is due at that time, I will only continue with the work once payment is received. Delayed payment may result in a late shipment. Please read shipping policy.
Returns & exchanges
Refunds are only available for items that are not personalized or are lost in shipping.
Refund payments will be processed after the item is returned at the customer's expense. I recommend tracking so that you will know exactly when I have received your return; however, I will notify you as well when I get it so that you know your refund is being processed.
Since all items are shipped with tracking, I will only refund for loss if the postal service tracking shows that the item did not arrive at the address listed within a reasonable amount of time based on the shipping method. The customer will then have the option of a full refund or credit toward another purchase.
Damaged items may be returned for a store credit only.
Personalized items are non-refundable.
Since each one is made individually, they will never be exactly the same. That's part of the wonderful thing about handmade quilts.
