Kazak Style Rug Oriental carpets are classified according to the region where they are made or the people who make them. In this instance, the Kazak people are mainly shepherds living in the area of the Caucasus Mountains. Instead of dense intricate designs, they use large bold designs on solid color backgrounds. Borders are jagged with designs on solid color backgrounds. Borders are jagged with hooks and points being used a lot. A distinctive feature of most Oriental rugs is the trend to use borders within borders until the center is reached.
Woven Stitch Crochet uses only BASIC DOUBLE CROCHET to produce multi-colored, completely reversible hand crocheted products in one step. The finished products maintain their shape and texture washing after washing.
Each pattern comes with a block diagram and instruction sheet and includes colors and amount of yarn required. All of our Patterns use 4 Ply Acrylic Yarn (wool can also be used). You will also receive our simple illustrated instruction booklet showing the method used to change colors quickly and easily while at the same time, making a completely reversible piece of crochet work.
This technique is ridiculously simple and horribly addicting!
