THIS ITEM IS APPROPRIATE FOR HISTORICAL RECREATION PURPOSES
This item includes 25 yards of rayon floss on a heavyweight paper thread winder, or bobbin (shown in the lower right of the first photo). We skein onto these thread winders to avoid tangling the floss. It is sized at 10 inches per wind, and the thread winder is complementary to your purchase of rayon floss. The rayon floss is wonderful quality. Our standard colors can be separated into strands for deleicate handwork.
BIRCH THREAD WINDER === Also available is a wooden threadwinder (shown in the lower left of the first photo) that provides 7 inches of thread per wind. It is lightweight birch and has been hand cut and sanded. Free of any rough spots, it is snag free! There are also slits cut into the bobbin to hold the thread ends. This item is available in all the same flosses, 50 yards, for $3.50. Please refer to our listing in the same section of the store for this option.

Cocobolo is now on the restricted woods list. It was one of the woods we loved the most, but we will not be able to buy it anymore. Unless we already have it, we won't be offering it. Please keep this in mind while shopping elsewhere, too. Responsible craftsmen will not offer a restricted wood item unless they already have that wood in stock. Ask your craftsman when they bought the wood and be a responsible world citizen. Over-harvesting results in the loss forever - wood, fish, birds, just to name a few things.
