Fun to make mushroom pin cushion with an optional tiny scissors pocket. This is a very versatile pattern it works with prints and batiks let you imagination go with this one. Pattern includes two sizes.: Short: 8' X 8" Tall : 8" by 10"
From the back: • Print for shroom cap – 1/4 yd • Print for stem base – 1/4 yd • Print for top ball, pocket – 1/4 yd • Embroidery floss or jute – 3 yds • Pom Poms (trim) – enough to provide 8 balls • Fiberfill stuffing • Fabric Glue • 4” piece of 1/4” wide elastic • Weight pellets - 1 cup • Button and Craft thread by Coats & Clark or other heavy-duty thread Special tools needed: long, flat, blunt end tool (like a letter opener); stuffing tools: long (doll) needle about 5” long.
Notes: I've made this at least 3 times I've never used the fabric glue or the pom pom balls so they are definitely optional. I strongly recommend the long doll needle for going through the shroom cap.
