dense black Navajo Churro locks, true black. Please forgive the pictures, because it is hard to represent accurately. This is a soft lamb fleece with excellent length, a few areas of gray fiber at the base, not many. The description "softer" is relative, because churro fleeces are never expected to be next to skin soft like merino, but compared to my alpaca locks they are still usable for doll hair although not with the silkiness of suri alpaca. These might be a nice choice for primitive dolls. This listing is for 1 ounce. If you are looking for Navajo churro roving, please check out that section of the shop, because I carry all colors of churro in roving. All my Churro fleeces come from small family farms in the Mountain West. These are an extraordinary breed, and I hope you can come to appreciate their beauty and utility. We almost lost this breed through the short-sighted behaviors of the US government in it's interference with the Dineh and their long established practices with these sheep. "Sheep is life." Please convo me whether it is more important to you to have longer length or less gray! Gosh, if I could only choose to have my long black hair back and no gray!
