1920's BABY BOOK, Paper Pamphlet by Metropolitan Life Ins. Co., Artwork By Gerta Reis, Charming Ephemera, Darling Baby Collectible/Gift
This charming Paper "BABY BOOK" was given to customers of the METROPOLITAN LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY when one of them was expecting, or just had, a new baby. It features gorgeous artwork done by GERTA RIES on every page. One of my favorites is a Christmas picture with a baby and tree. I took these photos some time ago when the piece was in a cellophane protective sleeve as I had it in my antique shop for a bit. If you would like more photos, please let me know and I will happily forward them. The book is dated (see photo #4) 1923 and it amazes me that it is still around! It does show some age in the form of small tears, some small stains and some pieces of the cover's edges missing. Still, it is in Superb Condition for it's age and would make a wonderful gift for any antique lover, especially if they have small children or are expecting a baby. The booklet measures close to 5.25" wide and is a bit under 7.75" tall. There are 7 pages, including the front and back covers and it is a superb Ephemera Collectible, Baby Collectible, Advertising Collectible and I am sure there are more cross collectible categories!

I can also make you a custom piece or design pieces for an entire wedding party.
*I PREFER payment with PAYPAL, however, I will happily accept your credit card payment through Etsy as well. :)
*FOREIGN BUYERS, PLEASE NOTE: Due to the new postal rate increase, I must ask that you write for all shipping quotes. These rates have now doubled in many cases and in some, are even more. My apologies, however, if you send your information, I will happily provide you with the new rates.
**U.S. Buyers, PLEASE NOTE: Postal Rates have gone up across the board, so I must advise that the shipping quote shown here may still not be correct. I only charge you for what the Postal Costs are to YOUR AREA. The estimate below is based on the coastal regions of the U.S. which are the most expensive. Refunds are issued for any overpayment you may make. In order to go through every one of my listings and change these rates, it will take some time, so please request a corrected quote prior to purchase, or, a correct quote to YOUR AREA. If you are not concerned with the increase, feel free to purchase immediately. Be aware, however, that you may be required to pay the excess cost to ship, if there is one, prior to your item being sent. Thank you and I am sorry for the trouble, but with these rate changes, it is so difficult to stay accurate. Hopefully, Etsy will create a Shipping Calculator for listings soon, so every person can figure out the shipping costs to their particular area prior to purchase.

Shipping & policies
I prefer to ship using your zip code or country so I may charge you ONLY what the post office charges me, plus a nominal handling fee. If you will kindly provide me with your zip code/country, I will include the actual amount on your invoice. The shipping cost showing on the listing is an ESTIMATE, Only and if you live on either coast it will double.
I listed every item you see without a calculator prior to Etsy adding this feature therefore my shipping on these pieces are estimated and may require my asking for additional fees if postage is significantly higher. I do NOT make money off of shipping.
I am happy to ship your items using any means you prefer AS LONG AS it falls into the restrictions set by the U.S. Postal service for that weight and size. Normally, I send items that are fragile using Priority mail as these parcels are treated with more care by the delivery folks and there are very few incidents of damage occurring to Priority mail. Smalls, that are NOT fragile can be sent First Class as long as they weigh less than 14oz. and are indeed, small, or unless postal rates change.
Insurance is required on any and all fragile purchases but highly recommended for ALL purchases. Please advise me of your desire to insure any other items, before you make payment.
A $1.00 handling fee for domestic packages is included in shipping costs, unless it is a "set" or large quantity of pieces, in which case the fee will not exceed $3.00. International handling fees are doubled, but never will exceed $6.00. Delivery Confirmation is included on all domestic shipments.
I accept Paypal and credit card payments through Paypal ONLY. If you are a Kentucky resident, I must ask that you include 6% sales tax. I require payment be made within 5 days. Returns are only accepted if an item is accidentally misrepresented and I have approved the return prior to it being shipped back. I do NOT refund shipping charges and the item must be in the exact condition it was sent to you in. Please be sure to ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR to purchasing an item, so you are aware of the exact condition and quality of the piece in question.
Returns & exchanges
I cannot refund for "buyer's remorse". I will, however, refund for any mistaken misrepresentation of my items. If a refund is in order, the item must be returned to me within 3 days of your receipt and the item must be in the exact condition I sent it out to you in. I cannot refund shipping costs. Please ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO MAKING YOUR PURCHASE so you will know exactly what you are buying. I, in turn, will do my utmost to photograph and describe these items to the very best of my ability. Please contact me for further information, if necessary. Thanks. :)
