Item details

This listing is for 50 of these awesome Fossil Clam Shell pieces from the Giant Clam Inoceramus. They make great stepping stones in mini or fairy gardens; but look wonderful in a glass bowl, garden bed, and of course adding to your cretaceous period fossil collection. The uses are endless!

Sizes vary from as small as 1/2" to as large as 1 1/4" ; so please refer to the images above for further consideration. If you need certain sizes, convo me and I will try to accommodate your needs.

The fossil giant clam Inoceramus is from the species of clams (bivalves) grew to giant size in the late Cretaceous, attaining diameters of four feet or more. In cross section, these shells are composed of prismatic (calcitic) crystals.
They were found along the rivers, streams and creeks in Grayson County, Texas. This part of Texas was covered by a shallow ocean in the Cretaceous period, and called the Western Interior Seaway.

This is a representative lot of what you will receive.

Perfect in my fairy garden. I thought there would be more, but that was my mistake. I should have read the description closer. Shipping was very fast and I may purchase more.

I ship on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after 3 PM but if you need the item asap, let me know and I'll do my best to get it to you as fast as I can. My local post office is closed on Saturdays.

Many of the items that I sell (such as bones and plants) have harsh regulations and expensive permits so I ship these items to the US only. Other items that do not require such strict regulations (such as fossils, rocks, and shark teeth) feel free to contact me regarding international shipping prices.

Packages that weigh under 15oz I ship via USPS First Class. Heavier packages are shipped via Standard post or Priority Mail. Heavier orders such as a lot of rocks or steel items may be shipped via Priority mail or Flat Rate if it "fits" in the standard issued boxes. I issue shipping overages over 2.00.

Please pay within 24 hours, or contact me if you want to have me reserve a listing for you.
I accept Paypal and direct checkout payments. If payment is not received within 24 hours, or other arrangements haven't been made; I reserve the right to cancel the transaction and re list the item.

Returns & exchanges

I do my best to pack my products where they will arrive to you in the condition they leave in. However, sometimes an overzealous postage handler forgets to toss the box underhanded into the truck or it more than likely gets stacked under heavier items; which result in a damaged box. (Trust me...A friend of mine worked for a shipping company) For these reason's I highly recommend shipping insurance on fragile items.

If you receive an item that is damaged, please contact me asap regarding how to go about getting your money back if you purchased shipping insurance. If the damage item wasn't due to the shipper, I will provide you with the option of a money back refund, or a similar item in exchange upon return of the damaged product. Buyer pays return shipping.

If you wish to return an item for other reasons, please contact me. Buyer pays for return shipping.

For orders that go unclaimed and are returned to me, I will issue a refund for the price of the product. Buyer understands that they will not be refunded for shipping in this regard.
