This is the sewing teepee pattern I use to create my canvas teepees. This sewing pattern is suitable for solid fabrics, but it can be used with non-directional prints as well, if you are able to find a wide width patterned fabric. If you are interested in making a striped or chevron teepee like you see in my shop, this pattern is NOT suitable for those fabrics. I use a completely different pattern for those teepees. This teepee sewing pattern creates a teepee that is 50" wide by 50" deep at the base. It is just over 5 feet tall when it is set up. This teepee is an ideal size for any playroom, bedroom or family room.

This is an easy teepee pattern that should not take long to make. It is suitable for beginning sewers. You will be able to download the pattern instantly here upon purchase. NO waiting!! At the end of the checkout process, you will automatically get the download link so you can immediately print this pattern at home. You will also receive an email from Etsy containing the download link, and it will always be accessible from your item receipt which is contained in the "purchases" section under the words "your account" at the top of any Etsy page when you are signed in.

You will need a pdf reader installed on your computer or device in order to view and print this pattern. If you don't have one, you can safely and easily install one for free at adobe.com.

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES:
Approximately 4 1/2 yards cotton canvas or duck cloth (exact dimensions contained in pattern). Denim and twill also work. Home decor fabrics are fine, but they should NOT have a directional print! Fabric must be 56" wide or wider.
Yardstick, chalk or disappearing marker
Thread
Scissors
Wooden poles, dowels or PVC poles, 6 feet (further measurements are supplied in pattern)
Leather lacing or other tie
Sewing machine

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern is given to you in DIMENSIONS! You will not be taping a bunch of paper together to create pattern pieces. You will be responsible for using your yardstick and chalk to draw straight line trapezoids onto your fabric. This is not at all difficult, and complete instructions and drawings are supplied in the pattern. However, if you need or want a pattern with pattern pieces, this is NOT the pattern for you.

Requests for cancellations of playhouses purchased from my shop must be made within 3 days of purchase. No exceptions.

Because playhouses are specially made to fit your table and are often personalized, refunds are not offered on these custom orders. Mistakes made by the buyer when ordering, such as incorrect table measurements or name spelling can be corrected, but there will be an extra fee for the corrections. In this case, the buyer is responsible for extra fees and all shipping costs. If the mistake is mine, I will repair it at my expense, including shipping. If a satisfactory repair cannot be made, a refund may be offered at my discretion. All other customized items will only be returned under extenuating circumstances, in original condition, and less 25% of purchase price. In this case, and in the case of all returns, you as the buyer pay ALL return shipping costs, no exceptions. I am not responsible for shipping costs if you decide to return a playhouse for any reason. Please do not purchase a custom order playhouse if you are hesitant about abiding by these rules.

This pattern is wonderful- easy to follow and I had it done in an afternoon, minus cutting the fabric down. I was amazed at how easy this was, especially as a novice sewer. Well executed, wonderful diagrams and tons of details. Only thing I would add is a tip to the reader to buy heavy weight thread. Thank you thank you thank you!

Excellent pattern; easy for this "advanced beginner" sewer to understand and make. Made it for a school auction, had the children hand-paint it, and it sold for $250!
