I basically love all things fibre and yarn related and although I gravitate to lace weight (because I naturally spin to this weight) I also like the more bulky weight yarns because they enable you to produce finished products at such a quick rate. The idea for this yarn came about because every so often I get a song stuck in my head. The kids, cats and chickens usually beat a hasty retreat as the only place it is safe for me to sing is in the shower where the resulting noise is drowned out by the water flow. However I this time I diverted the song into dyeing and this yarn is the result. It is wholly inspired by the flowers song from Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland. It moves through deep violet via a grey/mauve to pink and then into a muted mint green.
Other song suggestions welcome (within reason as not sure I would like the result of Iron Maiden's 'can I play with madness' or 'baby got back' by Sir Mixalot)
