This is "August" in my "Sweater of the Month" collection that I designed for an 18" child doll, such as American Girl, Tolly Tot, Bernat, and Madame Alexander. (With a different size yarn and hook, this will also fit Bitty Baby.)
Even though August is a hot month, the American Girl may need a cable sweater and headband to wear while yachting or boating! :)
The pattern includes directions so that you can create a typically knitted look with crochet! With these instructions, you can make a sweater that closes in back with buttons and a headband that ties under the doll's hair. Skill level = intermediate; main material = size 3 yarn (or size 2 for Bitty Baby).
Only the pattern is for sale; the actual outfit and the doll are unavailable.
No shipping cost, as you can download the PDF file from Etsy immediately after purchase.
NOTE: If you find a valid mistake in one of my patterns and point it out to me, I will refund the cost of the pattern to you! (Applies only to individual patterns, not collections.) I want to make my patterns as perfect as possible!
Feel free to sell any items you make from my patterns, but please do not resell the patterns themselves or make them available online. They are copyrighted.
I have created many of my own patterns that have been published in various magazines (Crochet World, Quick & Easy Crochet, Barbie Bazaar, and Dollhouse Miniatures). I have had 2 crochet books published: "Twentieth Century Fashion Doll Collection" (2006) and "Playtime Jackets" (2011).
