My son asked me to make him a rhino lovey. He and his dad created a mock-up for me and I created the pattern from their design. A little different than the usual lovey blanket - it's perfect for your little tough guy or gal!
Listing is for a PDF pattern, not the finished item. Pattern contains six pages of instructions and one page of pattern pieces.
Materials you will need:
o ½ yard of fleece, minky, or plush fabric for the rhino head and main part of the lovey blanket.
o Fat quarter or ½ yard of satin, quilters cotton or knit for the underside or lining of the blanket.
NOTE: You need ½ yard because the blanket pieces are 18 inches wide, but with ½ yard of each fabric you could actually make two loveys.
o Optional: Scrap of fleece in contrasting color for the inner ears.
o Scrap of white fleece or flannel for tusks.
o Scraps of black felt for eyes.
o Stuffing – I used polyester fiberfill.
o Matching thread
o Sewing machine, scissors, etc.
