Victorian Underwear Pattern, Created by me, Deb Salisbury, owner of The Mantua-Maker Historical Sewing Patterns. This lovely dress combines the corset cover and petticoat into a single garment. Also called an under-dress, or, occasionally combinations, the princess petticoat was introduced in 1877 to eliminate bulk at the waist line. When the outer dress had a train, the underskirt did, too, to keep the expensive fabric of the dress clean, and the under-dress train was often detachable so that it could be washed separately.
This pattern has options for a round or square neckline. It can be made with a front or a back opening. Ruffles can be added in the back to create a small bustle effect. A detachable train option is included.
This pattern includes 8 pages of instructions with historical tips, and 3 pattern sheets. It is printed on bond paper, and enclosed in a white paper envelope.
All sizes Petite – X-large are included.
Petite: bust 32", waist 24", hips 34".
X-large: bust 52:, waist 44", hips 54".
Please read all instructions before touching your fabric. There are tips along the way to make your life easier!

FYI 1 - All instructions are in English.
FYI 2 - I do have a cat (allergy warning; my cat has such fine fur I find stray hairs in places he could *never* get to!) but he has little contact with my patterns. My home is smoke-free, but vintage books and trim may carry their own distinctive odors.
