This listing is for 2 handles as shown in the pictures. The handles in the photo have about 8" of space where your hand will grip, overall length of 10". The material is 1/2" square stock and the circle base is 1.5" in diameter. This was a custom request.

1) CAN I GET MY ORDER SOONER THAN 4 WEEKS?

Due to high demand, our current turnaround is about 4 weeks. For instance, if you order in the THIRD week of the month, it will likely ship in the THIRD week of the next month. By paying this expedite fee, you are ensured that your order will be hand forged and shipped in 5 business days (from the time you pay the expedite fee)! That fee is completely separate from shipping charges.

2) WHY IS THE TURNAROUND SO LONG?

We have had about 70 open orders pretty consistently since 2011. We complete each job in the order it was received. Bear in mind this is a one of a kind product you are receiving, made by one full time and one part time blacksmith. This is not Walmart or Pottery Barn. As much as we would like to be extremely efficient with the timing it takes to ship your order, sometimes we fall behind schedule. We always do our best to keep you in the loop.

3) HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

IF YOU REQUEST, we can include signature tracking as opposed to regular tracking.

We ship as cost efficiently and as SAFELY as possible (mostly USPS flat rate). LARGE ORDERS MUST BE INSPECTED PRIOR TO OPENING. IF SHIPPED WITH UPS, WE ASK THAT YOU INSPECT THE PACKAGE BEFORE YOU OPEN. IF YOU SEE THAT THERE IS DAMAGE, CONTACT US RIGHT AWAY AT 540-333-6655 AND DO NOT OPEN IT. The only way we can file with insurance is if we document the package damage carefully with pictures.

We send tracking info as soon as your order ships!

If I find that you paid a significant amount higher than the cost to actually ship it, I will refund the difference. Please remember that as a part of shipping, you are paying for the handling of the item as well. Our packaging takes time, effort, and material. If you feel that you should be given a partial refund for shipping, please email me and I will be happy to analyze it and see if we can do that for you.

4) DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes, we ship internationally (almost anywhere). If you don't see the option available on the listing, just email us and we can set it up for you.

5) I GAVE YOU THE WRONG ADDRESS, AND THEREFORE NEVER RECEIVED MY ORDER. CAN YOU SEND IT AGAIN?

The address that you put on your order is the address we will send the order to. We reserve the right to decide on the shipper based on the best price/assurance it will arrive safely. If you have an address that does not accept UPS or USPS, it is your responsibility to communicate that with us at the time that you submit the order. If package is returned to us, and we need to ship again, it is your responsibility to pay for the shipping before we send it again. We cannot be responsible for that cost.

If you do find that there is ANY DAMAGE, it's very important that you photograph ALL SIDES of the box, including the LABEL, AND the packing material inside, WITH the screen inside the package, and then clearly photograph any DAMAGE TO THE product. ****We can only be responsible for replacing the screens or grates if the client will do us the favor of keeping all damaged material in it's current condition. 1) CAN I PUT DOWN HALF THE MONEY NOW, AND HALF AFTER COMPLETION?

No. Orders must be paid in full prior to production, unless we have communicated about it and/or the entire purchase amount is $2,000 or more.

2) HOW DO I PAY?

I accept and prefer PayPal or credit cards. We also accept check and money order. We will not begin fabrication until payment is received in full.

3) IF I CANCEL MY ORDER WITHIN 12 HOURS, DO I GET ALL MY MONEY BACK?

Yes. If you cancel after the 12 hour grace period, we will keep $5 to cover our expenses in handling/processing your order, even if it has yet to be made (there is still processing on our end prior to fabrication)

FAQs:

1) CAN I RETURN THIS AND GET MY MONEY BACK?

ALL SALES FINAL, unless we made an error in fabrication. If this is the case, please take a picture of the piece and email it to us with your request, and we will take each request on case by case basis. ***If you email us within 12 hours of ordering, then we will most likely be able to refund you and cancel the order. This is not guaranteed. If we have ordered material or begun to work on your order then we cannot cancel or refund your money.

2) CAN I EXCHANGE THIS FOR SOMETHING ELSE?

It depends on what it is. If it's something we make a lot of, we can most likely exchange. If you ordered something that we do not sell very often, then we might be able to work out something, but this would be on a case by case basis. Email us.

3) CAN I GET A REFUND ON MY CUSTOM ORDER?

No. When we make a custom order special for you, it's just that - for you! There are no refunds for custom orders. Once it's paid for, it's as good as fabricated. Since we have already put time and effort in consultation, and probably finding the material for your job, paying for material (which most likely cannot be returned), there is too much involved to give a refund. Please respect that about our small business. We will do everything in our power to make the custom piece fit your home and taste. We have never received a bad review on custom orders!

4) WILL YOU ALSO REFUND SHIPPING COSTS IF I AM GETTING A REFUND ON MY ORDER?

No. We shipped it, so your shipping costs were already used by the shipping company. If we refunded the shipping, it would come out of our pocket and that is not feasible. SHIPPING AND EXPEDITE FEES will not be refunded at all ** unless there are extenuating circumstances which will be discussed on a case by case basis.

5) WHERE SHOULD I SHIP MY ORDER IF I'M RETURNING IT?

Use the return address on our label or email us for this info.

6) WILL I GET ALL OF MY MONEY BACK WHEN I RETURN MY ORDER?

If we do agree to accept your return and refund you for your order, we reserve the right to retain 10% of the original cost of the item to cover our time in consultation. All of this will be discussed via email.

If your package is returned to me "refused" or "unclaimed" (due to an unauthorized cancellation, change of heart, or incorrect address) I cannot be held responsible for re-routing fees or any additional shipping charges to reship your item. AT THAT TIME, I will contact you and let you know it was returned. We will hold your order for one week. If we still have not heard from you, we will not keep your order in hand (it will be sent out to others who have ordered the same item). When you contact us, we will refund your money or send you the product again, at a reliable address.

1) DO YOU SELL TO WHOLESALERS OR CONSIGNORS?

Not at this time.

2) WHAT IS THIS OILY FEELING ON MY IRONWORK? AND WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?

This is not news to you; however, how to protect the metal and care for it - might be news to you. Unless a particular finish or paint color is specified/requested, all items in my shop will have a natural linseed oil/wax finish. This protects the metal from the elements. We love the way this finish brings out the beauty in the wrought iron. If you ask, yes, this is what we recommend! This does require maintenance, however. We, personally, have only had to oil our ironwork in our bathroom about once a year. If you have more moisture where you live, or in your home, or wherever you plan to keep your ironwork, you'll need to care for it appropriately. Keep reading.

CARE: To care for your new hand forged iron which has been finished with the oil/wax (see above "FINISH"), all you need to do is rub down the metal with a clean cloth. Rub it down until you do not get any more oil to come off. This will prevent any oil from rubbing off onto your clothing or towels. To maintain, we ask that you apply a new coat of oil/wax to your ironwork once a year. After you hand-rub the oil/wax on, wait 30 minutes. After it has cured, you simply get a clean cloth and rub it down until no more oil comes off. This will protect it from the elements for quite some time. Thank you for TAKING CARE OF your hand forged ironwork.

3) CAN YOU SKETCH THIS OUT FOR ME BEFORE YOU MAKE IT?

Yes, but not for free (anymore). Sketching out a project before the client pays for it - has proven to be a mistake. We have seen customers take our sketch to another artist, who then gives a lower bid on the job. If we are going to sketch something out, we need you to put down 10% first, so we know you're as committed to us as we are to you. ALSO, if we have been emailing back and forth with you on a potential project and it's been about 5-6 email exchanges, we will need 10% payment from you in order to continue. This pays for our time and shows us that you are not just wasting both of our efforts/time.

4) YOU WANT ME TO PAY FOR EMAILING YOU? WHY WOULD I DO THAT?

No, we only want 10% down, if we have been emailing for 5-6 times, and we still have some details to iron out. We have had a few experiences where we sent several sketches and about 30+ emails regarding very custom work, only to have the customer go AWOL and leave us high and dry. We appreciate that you take our time seriously, as well as your own. Thank you!
