This is the pattern that I use to make all of the tote bags that I sell in my shop. It is very beginner friendly and a great blank canvas for patchwork or other types of embellishing to make it your own.
This pattern features instructions for making a basic tote bag that is interfaced for sturdiness and has 2 interior slip pockets perfect for storing an MP3 player or notebook and keys. This bag also sports boxed corners to make a 3" gusset so there will be plenty of room to carry what you need.
This bag will also teach you how to get the most out of two -1/2 yards of fabric, making it fast, easy, AND inexpensive to make. :)
There are a few different pocket options for you to pick and choose from. Pick one or add them all!
Yes, there are a TON of tote bag patterns out there, but this is just how I make mine. Maybe you will find something useful in it. :)
