These embroidery scissors remind me of a hoop skirt on a Southern belle :)
They measure almost 4" in length and are finished in a primitive style matte black. The finger holes are very large!
The finish on these is done in the primitive style, the way the blacksmiths of early colonial days used to finish their scissors after forging them. When cleaning them, they should be wiped gently with a soft cloth to protect the finish.
Each of the Kelmscott Designs scissors styles begins with a hand drawing, and is manufactured to exacting specifications. It can take several months to get a design "just right" before it's ready for release.
