In the case of pottery, there are many complexities in colour and texture that quite simply, are best appreciated in person. Each one is a unique piece of art!
Details of each item including dimensions, weight, composition, etc. accompany each listing.
Pieces of pottery and hand made textiles come with a hand written card with relevant details about the piece including composition, care, catalogue number ( if applicable), and a personal message.
* A note about pottery and ceramics. It is the nature of clay that it is breakable! Please handle your pieces with care to avoid chipping or breakage. No guarantees can be given in terms of longevity. For best results, hand wash pieces with mild dish detergent and hand dry. Although they are dishwasher safe, it is not reccommended. Likewise, use in a microwave oven is not advisable.
Some crazing of the glaze is normal and to be expected. This will not affect the usefulness of your pottery.
All items come from a very clean and tidy environment that is both smoke and pet free. However, do keep in mind that in the Heathcote Road studio you may find the following animal and plant fibres: sheeps’s wool, llama, alpaca, mohair (goat), angora (rabbit), bison, camel, musk ox (quiviut), possum, cotton, linen, silk, nettle, hemp!
Message me, and I will do my best to make a special piece just for you!
Some ceramic pieces, including pendants and buttons, can be tailored to meet your needs.
Do keep in mind that glazes can be notoriously difficult to reproduce exactly, but each rendition has its own beauty!
On occasion, some hand knit accessories may be custom ordered.
