Item details

Opuntia Microdasys also know as Prickly Pears
Opuntia microdays, native to South America, is one of the more popular cacti known as "Prickly Pears". Shrub- forming with oval joints that are densely covered with short golden spines known as "glochids". Take care not to touch "glochids" ("dots" of minute spines that detach readily and can cause irritation to the skin and eyes). Flowers are lemon yellow to 3" in diameter, usually appearing in late spring or summer. Requires porous cactus soil with adequate drainage. Prefers bright light with ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Protect from frost.

Succulent plants are among the hardiest, most drought-tolerant in the world and very easy to maintain, as long as they are planted in a porous cactus/succulent soil, given proper drainage, daily bright light, and not over watered.

You will receive 1 well-established, rooted plant, currently growing in a 3.5 inch pot, sent bareroot and packaged with great care. It will be shipped via USPS Priority mail.

If you are ordering from an area with weather below 32 degrees, please consider purchasing a heat pack.

Came in pretty dirty (which is to be expected as it lives in dirt but looked like it may have been completely buried at some point) and one of the little “ears” was broken. Saving point to all of this is that the seller included an additional plant of the same kind. Hopefully I can salvage the bit that broke off.

Shipping 7-10 days with a few exceptions via USPS 2-3 day priority mail. We run specials, holidays and VACATIONS, shipping times will change, and will posted. Once the plant is ordered, we want to make sure that the roots are bare when shipped. Please open your package and unwrap as soon as they arrive. Succulent plants can lose their color and as with all living plants, they really prefer to get out of their boxes and into a good soil mixture. Any of the listings that state plants are shipped bare root means that they are out of the pot and have very little soil. While they can travel that way its best to get them replanted as soon as they get to their new home.
Etsy and PayPal addresses must match. We are not responsible if the package is sent to an incorrect address, so please verify the shipping address. Signature confirmation is not customary but it is a available upon request. Lost or stolen packages are not SuperSucculentShop's responsibility once your order has been shipped.

Another option, if you order please check your ship date. Our orders ship in 3-6 business days. If you need your order sooner than the ship date place a note in your order. I will be happy to try and get it in the mail sooner if possible.

Payments

SuperSucculentShop accepts all major credit cards, Paypal and Etsy Gift cards as form of payment. All purchases and reserve listings must be paid for within 3 days unless other arrangements have been made. Non-payment will result in cancellation. Special orders require a $50.00 deposit to reserve for a later ship date. Deposits are refundable up to one month before your ship date. Cancellations with less than a 30 day notice will not receive a deposit back.
California residents must pay 7.50% sales tax which will be added to your invoice when checking out. As always, please contact us if you are unsure we will be glad to help you.

Additional return information
All plants are of the highest quality. If you are dissatisfied in any way with your plants, please contact SuperSucculentShop within 24 hours of delivery. All plants are carefully wrapped prior to shipping to make sure they arrive in great shape. We have no control over your shipment once it has been shipped and are not responsible for lost or damaged items. When shipped in pots, which on occasion we will do, soil can get loose from the pot. Brush off the plant or gently blow to remove the loose soil from the plant and replace the soil around the plants root.
If package is shipped to a cold climate or where the temperature can get below 32 degress and you decline to purchase a heat pack, we are not responsible for damaged Succulents due to cold weather.
Ultimately, we want you to be happy with your purchase so, please contact us before you leave feedback and give us the opportunity to make it right.
