Item details

If you enjoy sewing why not try making your own Lilly*Blossom Button Cushion(pillow) Cover in 2 coordinating fabrics using my easy to follow, fully illustrated PDF sewing pattern.

You will be shown how to make a cushion cover to fit a 16" square cushion pad. This design uses two coordinating fabrics, one for the main cover and a contrasting one for the facings which you will just be able to see at the side when it's completed. The opening is secured with 5 buttons.

This 11 page sewing pattern is suitable for anyone who has basic experience of using a sewing machine to stitch straight and zigzag seams. It will be an advantage if you can sew buttonholes on your sewing machine but not essential, they can be stitched by hand it just takes a little longer.

The pattern is illustrated with many close up photographs and simple text to make it easy to follow, even for a beginner. I have also included a printable template for the buttonhole placements but if you don't have accesss to a printer you can easily measure and mark these out.

Materials needed to make one square 40cms (16”) cushion cover:

• Approximately 50cms (½yd) of 100cm (39”) wide fabric in main colour.
• Approximately 25cms (¼yd) of 100cms (39”) wide contrast cotton for facing.
• Matching thread
• 5 matching buttons
• 40cm (16”) square cushion pad

You will also need some basic sewing equipment such as pins, scissors, fabric markers and an iron etc. There are two main pattern pieces both of which are rectangles so you will need to measure and cut these out of paper for your templates.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my designs, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments.
