Item details

Seeds produced in summer/fall of 2014 by sustainable methods (no added chemical fertilizers and zero pesticides!). These are the same seeds I will be planting in my own garden this coming summer.

I observed the plants to be vigorous growers and enjoyed the fruit as both loofa/luffa sponges and for eating. They're a cousin of zucchini, so if picked young (when they're very heavy for their size, right around when they stop increasing in size) they have a very similar flavor and texture. Beware that leaving them on the stem causes them to turn to seed production and this leads to them NOT being edible (and instead, you get sponges). These are an excellent plant to grow in hot, steamy summer weather, even at my subtropical home!

Seed quantity will be 1 tsp (roughly 35 seeds, give or take). If you're interested in a larger quantity, please message me!

I'm revising my review because I just opened my seeds. I get the saying, "give or take" on the estimated 35 seeds, but the Tablespoon given me was mostly fluff, and there are only 19 seeds. I'm giving 5 stars because maybe it was just one of those things, and the seeds still look good and healthy. Just disappointed with the amount.

Estimated Shipping
Shipping to
Zip or postal code

Every effort is made to ship within 2 business day of your purchase. In many cases, the cost of shipping up to 6 half-pint jars is very similar to the cost of shipping just one jar. Jams and fresh mangoes are usually shipped via Priority Mail, and other items via First Class. If you have other needs, contact me and I'll be happy to adjust pricing accordingly.

Consider making the most of your shipping fees and ordering more than one jar or having a friend purchase a jar or two and split the shipping!

Jars will be individually wrapped then boxed before shipping to you.

Payments

Other payment methods can be possible, but message me to discuss your needs.

Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 21 days of delivery
I don't accept cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
No returns/refunds unless product was broken in transit or defective upon opening of jar (and is opened within one year of the date it was canned).

Additional policies

Jams and preserves are all water bath canned and are safe for up to one year from the date they were canned (based on pH and heat treatment). This date (month/year) is written on the jar lid once the jar is cool enough for me to handle.

Custom orders are welcome, but please convo me to discuss available ingredients and other special requests (vegan sugar, pectin-free, etc.). I prefer using seasonal and local ingredients whenever possible.

Expanding recently to include other passions of mine including special items from my garden and casually elegant earrings.
