Due to demand, there will be a 15 business day handling time for all orders to allow us to get caught up and replenish inventories. Sorry for any inconvenience.
For sale is four (4) spalted blued Ponderosa Pine boards. They measure between 7" and 7-1/2" wide, 3/4" thick, and 46" long. They have been surfaced, but are rough cut on the edges. This beautiful coloring is the result of the mountain pine beetle epidemic in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The wood gets its blueish-gray color from a fungus that stains the wood that is carried by the beetle. The result is a dead tree, but the wood, if salvaged in time, has a beautiful coloring that is perfect for crafts, intarsia, building furniture, or any other use that you can imagine. Please note that some of this wood may have holes from the bugs in it, and some will not. If you have a preference, please let me know, and I will try my best to accommodate.
This is a stock photograph, these may not be the exact boards you will receive, but they are an accurate representation of what you can expect. If you have any questions, please ask. Shipping cost listed is for the lower 48- Alaska and Hawaii will cost more- please contact me for an estimate.
If you have a request for other quantities or dimensions of this wood, please let me know. We can custom cut most any size on our sawmill.
Due to new UPS guidelines, all packages over 4 feet incur an additional $10.50 fee. In order to save on shipping costs, the new standard length for boards is 46". If you need them to be 48", or even longer, please contact me and I will get you a custom order. Thanks!
