Item details

A deep, rich shade of brown, the colour of 80% chocolate, 21 micron merino roving for needle felting. I often use this as a substitute for black, when making tiny windows or details, as it is so dark but less harsh than true black. Soft and smooth, it comes presented in a stylish Kraft pouch which has a moisture resistant lining and resealable opening. For US customers, 25g is equivalent to an ounce.

*MULTI BAG DEALS* I also offer great multi-bag deals with the colours of your choice -

If you have bought my pattern book 'Little Needle Felt Animals' published by Harper Collins (UK) and Harper Books (USA), then this is the colour used for 'Milly Mole's' hummock, the bodies of the 'Happy Hedgehogs' and 'Roly-Poly Robin', as well as the trotters on 'Penelope Pig' and the mane and hooves of 'Jolly Giraffe'.

I have been using this wool for over six years to make my creations, as it gives me the fine, smooth finish that I like. Best used with finer needles, size 40 or 42, also listed in my shop.

This wool is ethically sourced from South America and dyed in the U.K to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Product Class 1, making it non-toxic and colour fast.

After years of buying roving in plastic bags, which were inconvenient and often split, thus exposing the wool to external degradation, I decided to offer a selection of wools in sturdy packs which would protect the contents while being visually appealing.

Please note that the colour shown will vary slightly, depending on what kind of device you are viewing this listing on. I have done my best to present and describe this wool as accurately as possible, given the variables.

I endeavour to get orders sent out within two days of purchase. Items are sent First Class mail to the United Kingdom, standard Airmail to all other countries.

Payments

I much prefer Paypal, but if you are in the United Kingdom or have a British bank account I will accept a cheque, in which case your item(s) will be sent out after it has cleared. If I have not received payment after 24 hours, I will contact you to make sure everything is ok, but if after that I get no reply, I will have to cancel the order.

Returns & exchanges

I always pack items securely, especially if they are going overseas, but sadly sometimes postal systems can cause damage. In the event of this happening, please contact me with photographs of the damage and we can arrange suitable refund or replacement.

First class post within the United Kingdom can take between 1-3 days to arrive and Airmail deliveries overseas can take anywhere from 7 days to three weeks, depending on location. If your order has not arrived within this time, please let me know.
