This glue is made from bees wax, pine sap, and hardwood (seasoned oak) ash. This glue is a solid at room temperature but the more heat you apply the more liquid it will become. If you apply heat evenly and slowly like in hot water you can create a play dough type texture. How much you melt the glue depends on your task. For arrow points I like to cut the channel then make my glue like play dough. Then I pull off a little bit and make it into a ball. I set the ball into the channel and smash it in place with the arrow head. When it is mostly in place I take a small open flame and melt the edges so it melts perfectly around the arrow head. Many other tasks can be done with this glue including leather care, sealing stitch lines, making natural cordage, and primitive tool making
Great pine pitch glue! Arrived quickly. Generous amount per stick. Melts easily and dries very quickly! Not tacky at all once dried, creates a strong bond, and dries hard with a nice luster and smoothness. This pine pitch glue mixture is the perfect material for primitive crafts and self reliance bushcraft applications! We used it to fletch arrows and to haft a stone knife. Will be ordering again! Thank you for providing a great product.
