Item details

I grow these unusually gorgeous flowers in my garden every year. They are delicate looking and make excellent "filler" plants around larger flowers...or as a mass planting. The foliage is airy, fern-like and "misty" looking. After the flowers are spent...even the seed pods are decorative !

You will receive : ½ Ounce , organic, whole black Nigella seeds in a sealed plastic bag...enough for a mass planting or to scatter around your flower beds.

Some facts about the seeds:

These Black Seeds are the same Black Seeds that are used in many Black Seed Oil Health supplements. Common names include: Nigella sativa, fennel flower, nutmeg flower, Roman coriander, blackseed or black caraway, kaljeera, kalonji, black cumin, Habbat Alabarakah ( Seed of Blessing ), and The Pharaoh's secret (because they were found in King Tuts tomb).

Description: Native to Africa and Asia, black cumin bears seeds that are dark, thin, and crescent-shaped when whole. A valuable source of protein, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, vitamins A, B1, B2, C and niacin, as well as minerals such as calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, selenium and zinc.

*Black Seed Benefits: Black seed is said to help support metabolism, digestion, a healthy immune system, and lowers blood sugars levels. It's also said to be a powerful anti-oxidant that can also help with acne, respiratory issues, and a host of other ailments.

Usages of the seeds:

To use as a tea: Just place into a tea bag, or infuser and then place in hot water. Steep until you've reached your desired taste (longer time = stronger taste).

To Make Black Seed Oil: If you have your own oil press, you can turn the seeds into oil.

In Cooking: Many cultures use Black Seeds in culinary ventures. Just add to your favorite recipe.

In Beauty Products: Black Seeds are becoming increasingly popular as an ingredient in skincare, and haircare products. Some people crush the seeds and add them to soaps.
