vintage textured chrome and black Ansco Shur-Flash box Camera 1953 mid century modern
The Ansco Shur Flash is a nifty little camera: the most basic of box cameras, with a very rudimentary lens that is actually behind the shutter. You can watch the shutter trip from outside the camera. It takes 120 film. There's a little red window on the back for viewing the picture number.
Marked "Ansco Shur-Flash, Made in USA, Binghamton, New York" on the circle around the lens. It has a chrome front that has a wonderful texture. The rest of the body is made of wood and cardboard, covered in stippled black leather.
This one is in very good condition. MAde in 1953, it has that great mid century modern style too it.
This camera will look fabulous on your shelf as a decorative item or as a prop in your photo shoots. :-) Or try your luck with some film and see what this baby can do! (Camera has not been tested with film)
