This light as air capelette is just the bit of warmth and discretion for those spring and summer days or nights.
This is the perfect accessory for weddings whether for the bride, bridesmaids, mother of the bride or mother of the groom. Unlike a shawl, it will stay put and requires less fiddling and re-adjusting!
Draped loosely over the shoulders, it curves gently to caress your shoulders and décolleté in delicate lace. Warmth without weight and elegance without pretension.
You can also wear it as a cowl, a wispy bit of lace to fill the neckline of a spring coat if you like. To adjust the width of the neckline, thread a couple metres of delicate ribbon through the eyelette row, cinch to desired size & secure with a simple bow. Worked in the round from the bottom to the top in one piece on circular needles.
Two versions: A (as shown ) with a wider neckline, and B, with a slightly smaller upper circumference. Add beads if you like for a bit of extra sparkle!
This listing is for the knitting pattern, you will not recieve a finished garment.
What you are buying is the digital file (pdf) which you can view on your computer or print out. Detailed instructions, photographs and hand knitting charts are included in the pdf file.

The photographs are true to the best of digital photography’s ability! Colours are true to my eye and on my computer screen, but we all know that each monitor’s representation can vary.
In the case of pottery, there are many complexities in colour and texture that quite simply, are best appreciated in person. Each one is a unique piece of art!
Details of each item including dimensions, weight, composition, etc. accompany each listing.
Pieces of pottery and hand made textiles come with a hand written card with relevant details about the piece including composition, care, catalogue number ( if applicable), and a personal message.
* A note about pottery and ceramics. It is the nature of clay that it is breakable! Please handle your pieces with care to avoid chipping or breakage. No guarantees can be given in terms of longevity. For best results, hand wash pieces with mild dish detergent and hand dry. Although they are dishwasher safe, it is not reccommended. Likewise, use in a microwave oven is not advisable.
Some crazing of the glaze is normal and to be expected. This will not affect the usefulness of your pottery.
All items come from a very clean and tidy environment that is both smoke and pet free. However, do keep in mind that in the Heathcote Road studio you may find the following animal and plant fibres: sheeps’s wool, llama, alpaca, mohair (goat), angora (rabbit), bison, camel, musk ox (quiviut), possum, cotton, linen, silk, nettle, hemp!

Some ceramic pieces, including pendants and buttons, can be tailored to meet your needs.
Do keep in mind that glazes can be notoriously difficult to reproduce exactly, but each rendition has its own beauty!
