The Details 70% Baby Alpaca 20% Silk 10% Cashmere 3 ply light fingering 6 to 8 stitches/inch on US 1-3 needles Approx. 437 yards 100 grams
The Colorway Lip Rouge---Kettle-dyed semi-solid; shades of the perfect red: not too blue, not too orange. Just knock 'em dead red.
*Please note that while I've done my utmost best to create photographs that are as close as possible to the actual yarn color, individual monitors can vary a great deal. Please ask me if you have any questions about color.
The Fiber This luscious yarn is like pure heaven in your hands. The softly plied twist does the most lovely things to lace patterns, allowing them to relax into shape. The baby alpaca and cashmere feel like velvet, and the sheen of silk glows through the color. Love this yarn!
To wash, soak in cool water with wool wash soap; gently press out water and lay flat to dry, blocking as necessary.
I use professional acid dyes for rich color and to help prevent color fading. After dyeing, I rinse thoroughly and finish with a wool wash. Some colors do have a tendency to continue to bleed (especially reds); a little vinegar added to your blocking soak should help alleviate this.
Also, please note that yarn is dyed in the home studio of a non-smoker and cat lover---me---and while my two cats aren't allowed to roll through the yarn, an occasional cat hair could possibly find its way onto your skein. I do my best to be sure it doesn't, but I just want you to know.
I ship via United States Postal Service (USPS) First Class (with tracking code) within the US. I ship International First Class for international orders, but I cannot add tracking confirmation at this time. Once I receive your payment, I'll ship as soon as possible within 3 business days, Monday through Friday.
Packages traveling to Canada and other International addresses can take from 10 days to 2 weeks to arrive.
I use PayPal shipping, so please ensure that your PayPal shipping address is correct.
I highly recommend insurance for large orders, as I cannot be responsible for packages once they leave my dye-stained fingers. Please convo me before purchase if you want extra insurance and I will set up a custom listing for you.
All taxes, customs and duties are the responsibility of the purchaser.
I accept payment through PayPal.
Returns & exchanges
Of course I think you'll adore your yarn, but if you don't, I do accept returns. Please contact me within 3 days of receipt if you wish to make a return. I will fully refund your purchase, minus shipping charges as soon I receive your return. Items must be returned within 2 weeks in their original, unwound condition to receive your refund.
Please feel free to convo me with any other specific questions.
I do not currently do custom color work at this time, but if there is a colorway you'd like to see, let me know and I will contact you if I work something out and list it in the store.
