This listing is for three Big Twin Row Counters in any two colors of your choosing (Pictured are red and green) They will fit up to size 11 knitting needles.
Meet the Twins! The Twin Row Counters came about when Sheep and Wolf were knitting together and Wolf spied Sheep using two locking stitch markers clipped together to count the two row decrease sequence of a sock gusset. Wolf turned to sheep and exclaimed “I can make that work better.” A few prototypes later the Twins were born, and we can’t imagine knitting socks without them. They are useful for so much more than socks though. Any time you are alternating between a inc/dec/pattern round and a knit/rest round The Twins are there to help. When you are working flat the Twins are there to help keep track of four rows when turned at the beginning of each right side row. The possibilities are endless.
The Twins are worked by alternating which ring is on the needle and which dangles. When it is time to alternate the rings or “flip” the marker as we say, simply slide the tip of your right hand or working needle into the alternate ring dangling below the Left hand or feeding needle, as you slide the new ring onto your right hand needle slip it off the left hand needle . Like all Sheep and Wolf counters the Twins are relatively free-form and minimalist, use them however you like. Let us know when you are clever with them and we will share your cleverness!
Twin row counters are normally sold in sets of 3, however we can happily make a custom sized set for you. They are available to fit size 3, size 8 and size 11 knitting needles.

Q. Why are the colors slightly different than the last order I placed?
A. Because our supplies are anodized aluminum, they come in batches similar to yarn dyelots. There can be variation between these lots, sometimes significant. We update our photos to reflect the current colors of an item, however we cannot promise that items made at different times are the exact same colors. If you need exact matches, please order everything at once. We have noticed that blue and green colors seem to vary the most, while red, white, black, pink and yellow vary the least. Sometimes we get one-off colors that we cannot purchase again as well.
The same goes for our beads, while some colors we always have, some of the colors vary from batch to batch that we find, and often we rotate our stock.
Q. What if I want a different size or different color?
A.Just drop us a line! We're very happy to make you an item in the set, color, and size that you'd like!
Q. Where do you source your supplies?
A. All of our rings are made in the USA or Canada. Most of our beads are made in Japan, although not all. We try hard to source from countries with fairer labor practices, and to support US businesses, whenever possible. We make our business cards in-house!
Q. I really like xyz I bought from you, but I wish you made one a little different!
A. Tell us! We love to hear what people like, or what they would like to see improved in our products! Most of what we make we came up with while Hayley and Rachel were knitting together!
Q. I run a Local Yarn Store, and would like to carry your products in my store. Do you work with stores and how much are your prices wholesale?
A. Please send us an email to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss opening a resale account with us. We only work with brick-and-mortar resellers.
