Item details

Available: one warm orange ball of fine (12 WPI) three-ply woollen yarn, hand-dyed and handspun using a range of drop spindles. The colour is wonderfully warm and would brighten up any grey day!

I used Bluefaced Leicester wool sourced from P&M Woolcraft and dyed it with wholly natural onion skins and an alum mordant. One picture of the making process is included above and others can be seen on the shop tumblr (e.g.

The ball weighs 130g and was wound on a Turkish drop spindle. Please note that colours may look different on different monitors (but hopefully not too different).
