♦It has a smooth, snag-free slot to keep yarn moving freely and easily. It features a wide, thick base to help prevent tipping. I attached rubber pads to protect surfaces. Thanks for supporting a full-time potter dedicated to pursuing an age-old craft. As a crafter yourself, you can appreciate this more than most.

♦I create my pottery from white stoneware clay that I throw by hand on a pottery wheel. I use white clay because it is the clean canvas that allows my glazes to be their most vivid. I use stoneware clay so my work is durable enough for everyday use. I mix my glazes from scratch so that I know that they are nontoxic and safe for the oven, dishwasher and microwave. I hand-polish the exposed clay on the bottom of each pot to a velvety, surface-friendly smoothness before inscribing my signature.

FAQs

I use a sturdy white paper (recycled!) that I personalize with hand-stamps and finish with a bow and a gift card with your message. I don't include pricing and I will confirm that I prepared your selection as a gift when I ship it.

The kind of clay I use is called "stoneware" and is robust enough for everyday use. My glazes are food-safe and may be used in the microwave, dishwasher, freezer and oven. For oven use, place the pottery into a cold oven that has not been preheated. You want to prevent a quick temperature change.

I securely wrap my pottery in layers of cardboard then nestle it with packing peanuts inside a corrugated shipping box. However, if your pottery gets damaged during shipment within the US don't worry. Just send me a photo within 3 days of its arrival and I will immediately send you a replacement.

Running a one-person studio doesn't allow me much time to take on special orders but I'm always willing to hear what you have in mind.

Each piece is handmade on the wheel and just a little bit different but I work hard to make sure the piece you receive matches your expectations. I stand behind my work. If you're not happy, neither am I!
