100gr of premium combed New Zealand Halfbred wool. This wool is soft and lustrous for its micron size, and makes for a slightly more bulky spin than my 24.5 micron fibre.

Beautiful 27.7 (average) micron N.Z. wool from Haunui Handcraft Wools, a specialist hill country craft flock from South Canterbury. Over 25 years of intensive breeding of NZ Halfbred (substantially, a merino style breed) have gone into creating this premium combed top.

This wool shows typical NZ Halfbred character – merino loftiness – enlivened with longwool lustre. It's soft and shimmery for beautiful, unique spinning or feltmaking. A well-prepared top containing very little vegetable matter or short fibre. The subtle shading of the natural colour adds depth and dimension to the overdyed colour. I love this wool - it is wonderful to spin, making a beautiful medium yarn.

This fibre is dyed to order. Batches can vary slightly from one another - however, more than one batch can be used within a project by mixing parts of batches. If batch consistency is important, please order enough for your project and let me know - I'll select I'll make sure you get the most consistent match.

Because of batch and monitor variations, fibre may not be exactly as you see it in the photo.

My wool comes from a smoke-free, pet-free environment.

My shipping is calculated on weight; when buying more than one item, the first item has a larger cost, then each additional item has a smaller additional cost.

Shipping is by International Air, and cannot be tracked, as this service isn't offered in my country.

All items are securely packed in new packaging.

Please check before buying as to the customs import limits for your home country. Any customs charges, taxes etc charged by the destination country on international goods are your responsibility.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
I want you to be happy with your purchase! My return and exchange policies are below - I can be flexible for individuals, but please take care when choosing items, particularly outside New Zealand, as I cannot be responsible for postage on exchanged items. I promise to deal with any returns in a timely manner.

If you wish to exchange an item, please be aware that I will charge shipping on it.
I will replace any faulty batch of wool or item supplied on receipt of the faulty item, under the terms of the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. This means that I will repair or replace for manufacturing faults only (minor individual colour variations between handcrafted items do not constitute a manufacturing fault). Refunds will only be given in exceptional circumstances, such as where an item cannot be repaired and/or an identical or near-identical item cannot be supplied. Refunds can only be made when an item has been returned for inspection.

You must contact me as soon as possible when you want to return an item. Postage cost to return the item to me is your responsibility.

All items must be returned in adequate packaging, correctly addressed and proof of posting must be retained in case of a returned item being lost in the post.

In the event of an item being damaged or lost in the post, New Zealand Post requires documentation from both the sender and the receiver of a parcel to investigate a claim and items cannot be replaced without this proof.
