**The Mariengold Doll Kulla**
With this e-book you can create the Mariengold doll Kulla yourself. I also offer a suitable doll making kit as a start-up.
The e-book contains patterns for the doll sizes 20 cm and 30 cm with two cap versions, directions for Kulla's dress as well as bonus patterns for 20 cm and 30 cm large dolls with legs and feet and for wings for 20 cm and 30 cm large guardian angel dolls.
A number of possible variations are provided in this tutorial, e.g. hands that have been simply tied off as opposed to being shaped, a mouth indentation, closed eyes, and hair that peeks out from under the doll‘s cap.
Kulla is a very simple doll with soft and harmonious features. The doll does not have a classic body with arms and legs, but wears instead a firmly fitted overall-dress made out of cotton velvet and has arms and shaped hands made out of doll tricot.
Likewise, the facial characteristics of the doll are very simple in form. The face is drawn on using colored pencils. The few existing hair strands, which peak out from below the firmly attached hat that Kulla wears in place of a head of wool hair, are also drawn on using colored pencils. The drawn facial features have a soft, sheer and tender affect, just as the small children do, for whom Kulla is made.
Dolls such as Kulla are intended as very first dolls, appropriate even for babies. Without hair flying about, they are very easy to clean and are especially suitable for small children, who still put many objects into their mouth.
**Level of Difficulty and Requirements**
The making of Kulla is very suitable for beginners and as a first step into the world of doll making. Kulla is the simplest and easi- est model to sew in the Mariengold e-Book series for the creation of dolls.
Basic knowledge in sewing is not necessarily needed, as the most important techniques are explained at the beginning of this manual.
My e-books are detailed, professionally laid out directions for the creation of dolls according to Mariengold designs. They contain step by step explanations with lots of pictures and detailed descriptions, clear illustrations and explanations of the most important sewing techniques, patterns for several doll sizes and for first clothing like underwear or diapers, extensive notes and sources on materials and tools, background information and stories from the Mariengold studio and of course lots of encouraging words for your work.
Mariengold tutorials for doll making and included patterns are protected by copyright, and may be used for private purpose only.
If you want to use the tutorials for your own doll making classes or want to sell dolls according to Mariengold designs commercially, you can purchase appropriate extensions of use from me directly.
