**The Mariengold Doll Mitzi**
With this e-book you can create the Mariengold doll Mitzi yourself. I also offer a suitable doll making kit as a start-up.
The e-book contains patterns for the doll sizes 30 cm and 40 cm as well as directions and patterns for Mitzi's underwear
Mitzi is a simple doll, who in body shape and expression resembles rather older children. Mitzi is slim, has straight arms and legs and a full head of hair for hairdressing.
The doll pattern allows for concise body shapes like hips, thighs, lower legs, upper arms, forearms, joints and even toes. Belly and legs are one piece. The legs are top-stitched at the crotch, so that they are easily movable and so that the doll can sit. Mitzi’s feet are more indicated than fully shaped. As an extension of the legs, they are simply sewed up. In Contrast, Mitzi has fairly big hands, that can be held well by children. Mitzi’s arms are also easily movable. They are attached to the body from the inside.
Mitzi’s facial features are designed in a simple manner. The face is embroidered and has a nice and quiet expression. The head of hair is full. Its base is a crochet cap, in which strands of any length are knotted.
Simple jointed dolls like Mitzi are suitable for children 3 years and up.
**Level of Difficulty and Requirements**
The making of Mitzi is suitable for beginners.
Also children 12 years and older can sew dolls using this tutorial, especially if adults capable of sewing are providing assistance.
Basic knowledge in sewing indeed facilitates the entry into doll making, but it is not necessarily needed, as the most important techniques are explained at the beginning of this manual.
For the wig you need to be able to crochet.
My e-books are detailed, professionally laid out directions for the creation of dolls according to Mariengold designs. They contain step by step explanations with lots of pictures and detailed descriptions, clear illustrations and explanations of the most important sewing techniques, patterns for several doll sizes and for first clothing like underwear or diapers, extensive notes and sources on materials and tools, background information and stories from the Mariengold studio and of course lots of encouraging words for your work.
Mariengold tutorials for doll making and included patterns are protected by copyright, and may be used for private purpose only.
If you want to use the tutorials for your own doll making classes or want to sell dolls according to Mariengold designs commercially, you can purchase appropriate extensions of use from me directly.
