This elegant smocked dress is actually simple to sew. The technique for putting the elastic in the sleeves is the easiest one I know. The large, oversized sleeves have Rick Rack partly showing on the edge of the hem. The dress is set off with a square neckline and Rick Rack around the bottom edge of the hem. The back is fastened with Velcro.
View 1 of the Stella Dress. This dress features smocked apples just under the bodice. The dress is smocked in the front only and the back bodice comes down to the last row of smocking.
View 2. The smocking is done on a band to be inserted just under the bodice. The band is set off with piping on the top and bottom.

Pattern is very clear and easy to follow; printed perfectly on my tempermental printer... not all pattern files do. (Not a scaling issue -- something in some files chokes the printer so it won't print the full file.) Lovely design! Thank you! :)

Easy to download and the files are easy for a smocker to understand, The doll smocking plates are just difficult enough to keep you interested in your work. Great pattern 100% satisfied.
