Ever wonder what to do with those beautifully tumbled river pebbles? Although not considered precious, river pebbles and tumbled stones can acquire a beauty of their own. In this tutorial, I used an ALMOST geometric pebble to construct a "fractured" pendant. The broken portion is completed with a cluster of small precious beads.

Pre-requisites: It is recommended that you know how to attach new thin wire to a frame mid-work. See this tutorial: http://www.jewelrylessons.com/tutorial/attaching-new-wire

Format: Downloadable PDF Document

2 feet of 18ga wire (or thicker)

What people said about this tutorial:

As soon as I saw the picture for this tutorial, I knew my life would be good. I have one pretty stone in particular that I broke and refused to get rid of. This tutorial is the perfect solution for my beautiful stone. What I really love about this tutorial is the different drawing scenarios on the first few pages. Regardless of the shape of your stone, Eni has it covered! There are many tips and tricks throughout that I found very useful. It really helps you understand how to work with either your broken or odd shaped stones. All the directions are very clear and concise. I have plenty more stones that this technique will be perfect for. Whether you look at it from the front or backside, it’s a beautiful thing! This tutorial will become one of my favorites and well used throughout the coming years. Thank you so much Eni for an ingenious way to use these orphaned stones. I plan to try some other bezel options with this technique.
