Item details

This ceramic spinning bowl is wheel thrown stoneware clay. I threw the little lump of clay rounding the edges and using the tip of my thumb, left a dimple in the center for the spindle tip support. The bottom is rounded and fully glazed. This is achieved by supporting the bowl on little metal stilts in the glaze firing. Glazed in creamy brown and with a blue gray center and bottom. The brown speckles of the clay speak through the glaze. About 2.5" in diam.

Non toxic glaze is dishwasher safe. I started making these little bowls as custom orders for a dear friend and liked them so much wanted to offer them in my shop. Have fun spinning with these little bowls!

Suitable for a wide variety of spindles including metal tipped spindles. The last 2 pictures show different bowls with metal tipped spindles.

In most cases I ship within 24 hrs excluding weekends and holidays after I receive your order. I ship insured USPS priority, USPS first class or UPS ground anywhere in the U.S. Definitely within 3 business days. Smaller items may be combined for shipping but larger ones will have to go alone.

International shipping is USPS first class and does not include any customs fees, VAT, etc. Buyer is responsible for such fees. Package will be marked as pottery.

International shipping sometimes can take 3 weeks or more to be delivered.

I try to pack as securely as possible. If something arrives broken let me know ASAP and I will work with you to make it right, whether replacement or refund. Be aware that exact replacement may not be possible as no 2 pieces are ever exactly the same. I need a photo of the damage in order to file an insurance claim with the carrier.

Georgia residents will be charged 7% sales tax
