It's a pillow especially designed to prop up your electronic device (tablet, ereader, or cell phone) so you don't have to hold on to it. A knitted pyramid stand. It's perfect to prop up your device while watching that new viral video, while scrolling through Facebook, or while shopping on Etsy. Cool, eh?
And you can say you made it yourself.
The pattern comes in three sizes: cell phone, ereader, and tablet. Cell phone size holds up to the larger size cell phones (the pictures have it holding an iPhone 6+). Ereader size works for Kindles and mini iPads (the pictures have it holding a Nook). And tablet size works for any general full size tablet.
It's made with worsted weight yarn, and you'll only need a partial skein. It's such a quick knit that you'll have completed the whole thing in a few short hours.
The pieces are knit in the round. The instructions are given "per needle" as in a double pointed needle, but the piece can be just as easily adapted to work in whatever circular method you prefer. Bobbles and cables are used as well as frequent decreases.
The bottom of the pyramid is worked first, starting from the outside and working in. Then stitches are picked up, and the pyramid shape is built up. The pillow is stuffed as the piece is knit, so when the top is tied off, the whole thing is finished.
This makes a great gift, after you've made yourself one, of course. And, when you're complimented on your electronics stand, you can say you made it yourself.
