Sunflowers are the flower that reminds us most of summer. Beautiful bouquets of bright yellow and bronze sunflowers decorating a table is a delight to see. Fields of bright sunny yellow and bronze sunflowers are not only beautiful but also a great bird feeder snack. Today I was watching Red Wing Blackbirds enjoying a feast of sunflower seeds. Wonderful sight!
I grow lots of sunflowers of all different kinds, sizes and colors in my vegetable garden. Recycled paper gift labels embedded with sunflower seeds is a fun way to continue the gift giving, plant the paper heart in the garden and keep damp until the sunflowers grow.
Using seeds to make seed paper gift tags is a wonderful way to recycle paper. I am making plantable sunflower gift tag hearts this year with recycled paper just for fun. This seed paper has mixed sunflower seeds in it. You can see the fat little seeds in the plantable paper. Each paper gift tag comes with a ribbon for attaching to a gift.
6 Mixed color Sunflower hearts, each is 2 inches long.
