The 1950's were full of innovation, and cellophane tape was one of them. A product of 3M (Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co), the Scotch brand of tape is possibly the most well-known. This large tin (5 inches across) held 2592 inches of 1 inch tape. On the side of the tin, it lists no fewer than 7 patents associated with their product. On the inside, there are instructions on how to store and use the tape, and a cure for "brittle" tape. Very nice shape with beautiful plaid graphic on the top.
