This is a beautiful, but sadly very shabby Antique french turn of the century die cut postcard. On the front it features a die cut bird ( i think it is a swallow or a swift) with attached paper decoration, with the caption 'Bonne Fete' below.
The reverse has a beautifully written message on the back to the sender's 'Dear Friend'. This message reads:
Mon Cher Ami Je te souhaite une bonne et heureuse fête Ton ami qu'il t'oublie pas Lafergue Édouard.
This translates to
My Dear Friend I wish you a happy holiday Your friend that will not forget you Lafergue Edward.
The card itself is sadly in an extremely shabby condition. There is some bedning and folding to the bird and it has lost its beak. The card behind it is age marked and there is a small puncture to the top left corner. The edges of the card are somewhat foxed.
