diy handbag kit - black and white chevron wristlet - pre cut fabric with PDF pattern
This is a DIY KIT to make your own wristlet, NOT a finished product!
The wristlet is my most popular sewing pattern, so I've decided to offer kits to make making your own even EASIER: I've done the most tedious and least fun part for you, cutting the fabric and interfacing!
this kit includes:
+ pre-cut fabric for one wristlet (as seen in the first image)
+ pre-made piping and two pre-cut choices for the optional accent
+ pre-cut fusible interfacing for the body, strap, wallet, and accent
+ 7" zipper in coordinating color
+ 1 spool of 100% polyester thread in coordinating color
+ printed step-by-step directions with photos in full color
+ PDF version of the pattern and directions emailed to you (9 pages long)
you will need (not included in the kit):
- a zipper foot for your sewing machine
- an iron and an ironing surface
- pins and scissors
This particular listing includes black canvas for the body, strap, and optional accent, with lining in solid black cotton, and an optional accent and pre-made piping in black and white chevron print cotton. The zipper and the spool of thread included are both black.
about the wristlet
This wristlet is my most popular sewing pattern, because it is equally pretty and practical! With its built-in wallet and petite size, you can carry everything you need while still looking chic. The wallet has seven pockets - one for cash and six for cards. The optional accent fabric and piping on the front give you lots of ways to personalize your wristlet. Leave off the strap if you'd rather have a clutch!
The finished wristlet stands 5" tall and 8" wide, with a 2.75" wide gusseted bottom. It closes with a 7" zipper, and includes a flat wallet built into the lining, with six pockets for credit cards and one for cash. The wrist strap is 6" long and the piping and accent fabric on the front are optional.
The wristlet is a great project for beginners, but fun for more experienced sewers as well. The pattern includes clear instructions on how to insert a zipper, and how to make custom piping.

Shipping & policies
I ship from the Washington, DC (USA) area to anywhere nationwide and internationally using the U.S. Postal Service. Domestic orders will ship via priority mail flat rate shipping, which is a fixed rate based on the size of the box, not weight or location. Most single items in my shop will fit either in a small flat rate box ($6.10 within the US) or flat rate envelope ($5.75 within the US).
International orders will ship via first class mail, which for most items in my shop is $9.00 to Canada and $13.00 to everywhere else.
When your package ships, you will receive a note from me through Etsy that includes a hyperlink you can use to track your package online. It can take up to 24 hours before the tracking becomes live. Flat rate shipping usually takes 3-5 business days within the US. International orders are not tracked once the package leaves the US, and delivery times vary by location.
If you require expedited shipping, would rather I ship to you using something other than the USPS, or would like some other upgrade, please convo me and I can create a shipping option for you that meets your needs.
International customers: please consult your local post office to inquire about possible customs fees or import duties when ordering goods from the US. Unfortunately I cannot predict if you will encounter such fees in your locality when you order from me online.
This shop accepts PayPal, major credit and debit cards, and Etsy gift cards. If you are placing an order using a Holland Cox gift certificate you received as a gift, please send me a convo before you order!
Orders shipping to Virginia will include a 6% sales tax applied to the retail total (not including shipping).
International orders may be subject to customs fees or import duties, payable to local authorities upon receipt of the item. Please consult your local post office for more details! Unfortunately I do not have access to information about possible customs fees in your locality.
Returns & exchanges
Custom orders and hair accessories are not returnable. If you are at all unsatisfied with any other purchase, please contact me within five days of receiving the item.
I am very happy to do custom orders, especially for brides and their parties! The only custom work that I cannot do at this time is draft new, original patterns for individual customers. However, if you would like an item listed in the shop (or one you have seen at one of my craft shows/trunk shows), but in a specific color/fabric, then let's chat and make it happen!
